Hi! My name is Maria, and I am a graduate student in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology PhD program. My research focuses on developing novel tools that leverage genetic mutations to selectively target cancer. Before joining UCSF, I conducted post-baccalaureate research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and completed my undergraduate studies at Harvard College. Outside of lab, I enjoy bouldering, running, skiing, and baking sourdough bread.
